Just wondering......

Hey guys its black history month!!! Wooo Hoot!!! Ive always felt that 28 days is not sufficient enough for our long and rich history. After all our history is goes back even further than America's yet American history is emphasized 365 days a year. The election of our first black president has resulted in questions such as "Do we need a black history month now?" Well, our history and that of America's is undeniably (and has always been) connected. I guess it all depends. What was the original goal in creating black history month? Was it to instigate pride within the post civil rights generations or to educate others in an effort to promote acceptance and respect for African Americans after years of teaching discrimination? Was its goal to rewire us so that the election of a black president would one day be possible? Has it achieved its goal(s)? I'll give you my take later, till then i bid you good day. I'm on the prowl......for a job that is.
